| Anna Paquin was born in New Zealand and raised in Canada. She is a Canadian-New Zealander actor who appeared in films like The Piano and Fly Away Home. She also appeared in X-Men. She had not planned to become an actress but fate chose to change her mind. In order to stay focused in her studies, she turned down many job offers following the success of her first film. After a successful debut film when she was just 14, she was offered roles in Jane Eyreand the Fly Away Homefilms series. In 2000, she portrayed the powerful mutant Roguein X-Menthe X-Menfilmseries.
