Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was a flute, piano and harpsichord in the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 1970s. She managed to make it with the stipend she received from her students and work part-time jobs. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied in her ability when compared with her peers and was contemplating a different path she might follow. Lennox played flute in a band named Dragons Playground in 1976. She left the band before they appeared as a guest on I.T.V's Talent program New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist to The Tourists (a British popband) between 1977 and 1980. It was during this time that she met Dave Stewart with whom she would form Pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox collaborated on her solo debut album Diva. The album was released in 1993. The album had a tremendous success both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album came out in October of 2014. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. The E.P. First album of hers"Now I'm Letting You Go... is the perfect accompaniment to her work of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox, born on December 25, 1954 in Scotland is a philanthropist and political activist. She sings. In the late 70s, she achieved minor fame as part of The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international notoriety in the 80s under the name Eurythmics.
